
Sherri Borman, Ph.D., HCLD (ABB)
Laboratory Director
Dr. Borman is a board certified High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director for Kronos Science. She joined KS in November 2007 and is responsible for the oversight of laboratory operations, including laboratory staffing, service area oversight, quality performance, result reporting and continual process improvement. She helps maintain the laboratory information system and regulatory requirements for the laboratory. She is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of the high complexity laboratory, quality control and quality assurance programs, and proficiency testing.
Dr. Borman brings to KS over 17 years of experience performing and overseeing testing in all areas of the laboratory. She has extensive training, education and experience allowing her to direct a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory and assure the highest level of quality possible.
Dr. Borman attended the University of Arizona where she earned both her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Chemistry and her Ph.D. in Physiological Sciences with a minor in Cell Biology, Anatomy & Toxicology.
Dr. Borman completed a four year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Oregon National Primate Research Center, a part of the Oregon Health & Science University in Beaverton, Oregon. She has also worked as a Clinical Embryologist where she received advanced training in high complexity laboratory policies and procedures. She has conducted research, authored numerous papers and abstracts and given presentations nationally and internationally in Reproductive Biology. Dr. Borman is a member of the American Association of Bioanalysis, Association for Women in Science and the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
Dr Borman is also an Adjunct Professor at Paradise Valley Community College in the Maricopa County Community College District. She teaches Anatomy & Physiology for students pursuing careers in a variety of health care fields.
Kim James, MT (ASCP)
Laboratory Supervisor
Kim James currently serves as the Laboratory Supervisor for Kronos Sciencey. She joined KS in November 2004 and is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of the high complexity laboratory, quality control and quality assurance programs, proficiency testing and instrument maintenance. She helps maintain the laboratory information system and regulatory requirements for the laboratory.
Mrs. James brings to KS 25 years of experience as a medical technologist, performing and overseeing testing in all areas of the laboratory. She has served positions such as chief medical technologist, lead medical technologist and bench technologist in the hospital laboratory, clinical reference laboratory and research laboratory industries.
Mrs. James attended Long Beach State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology. She completed her medical technology internship at Los Angeles County Hospital – USC Medical Center.
